Our mission was clear from the beginning: to craft a wall lamp with an elegant design that highlights the inherent beauty of natural wood. The lamp’s form is intentionally subtle, designed to blend seamlessly into any interior while allowing the natural grain and texture of the wood to take center stage. It’s not just a lamp—it’s a harmonious piece of nature brought into your home.
Sustainability at the Core
But our commitment doesn’t stop at aesthetics. Every step of the process is driven by sustainability. We carefully select renewable resources and optimize our production methods to minimize waste. Each lamp is made with respect for the environment, ensuring that every piece contributes to a brighter and more sustainable future.
We use only natural materials, oils for finishes, and adhesives that do not emit harmful substances, striving to make our product not only beautiful but also safe for use in your home.
To ensure our products last for years, we’ve designed our lamps with replaceable bulbs, allowing you to swap out a burnt-out bulb without discarding the entire lamp. This approach stands in contrast to many modern products with built-in LED strips or integrated lighting that must be thrown away entirely once they fail. By choosing durability and repairability, we’re honoring the principles of longevity and responsible design.
A Commitment to Safety
In our efforts to prioritize safety, we created the world’s first UL-certified wooden lamp. Achieving this certification was no small feat, especially when experts told us it was nearly impossible. With your support, we aim to pursue additional quality and safety certifications, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.
A Personal Journey
This journey is deeply personal to me. I left a career as a scientist specializing in microelectronics and nanotechnology to pursue this vision. I wanted to bring light and warmth into people’s homes in a way that honors both the planet and the art of design.
When I first started this journey, I had no expertise in woodworking. All I had was an idea, a passion for design, and a deep desire to create something meaningful. I spent countless hours researching, experimenting, and learning through trial and error. My first attempts were far from perfect—some were outright failures. I remember making countless prototypes that wouldn’t hold together, finishing surfaces that didn’t meet my standards, and revising designs endlessly.
At times, it felt impossible. There were moments of doubt when I wondered if I could ever achieve the vision I had in mind. But each failure taught me something new. With every misstep, I uncovered a better technique, a more efficient process, or a fresh perspective. The technology evolved from simply rolling veneer into tubes to exploring various methods of compression and pressing, culminating in vacuum forming. This breakthrough enabled us to achieve the perfect shapes we had envisioned. Slowly, the pieces started to fall into place.
Now, every time I craft a new lamp, I reflect on those early days. The struggles, the lessons, and the persistence have made every success even more meaningful.
